NB: I started a new category of Irish crafts to promote the work of some talented crafts people here in Ireland
Beth O’Halloran has made a red-squirrel named after me. *blush* OK, I don’t know the talented Ms O’Halloran, so this claim is completely unfounded, but she got the likeness so accurate!
You can check if your name is listed too: http://crittersforkeepsies.com/red-squirrel/
Here’s a screenshot, in case she sells out:

She nicks gloves from the bins at her day job working in a museum to make these little creatures. When she isn’t busy sewing these little critters, she is toiling away with her paintbrush, making lovely paintings. She’s quite the mixologist when it comes to colour. Yum. Nice to see a ‘professional’ Irish crafts person, who listed on CCoI- Crafts Council of Ireland taking on some of the indie craft styles, using recycled materials, etc. Reminds me of the Japanese Sock & Glove book, which was recently translated to English, lucky you.
