My crocheted ’sock’ monkey can see now, he has eyes!
You may be wondering… “how can *I* get a crocheted sock monkey?” You’re in luck!
- A Pattern: These guys are hilarious! OMG, they are so funny, I love the LIPS: check out a crocheted sock monkey pattern from QD Patooties.
- A Book: If you can’t get enough, there’s even a whole crocheted sock monkey book! Very very cute, kitschy and cool.
- To keep your place in the book, you could make a ‘Crocheted sock monkey bookmark’
Whaddle they think of next?

For my sock monkey’s eyes, I chose the placement I experimented with via photoshop here. Playing around in the design stage saves wear and tear, and supplies as well.
One thing I found in photoshop was that black on the dark brown was never going to show up. So I embroidered eyes onto cream felt, leaving a little cartoony ‘gleam’ in the pupils.
I went to take a close-up and he got all shy… awww…
