Thanks so much for reading about Darby (inspired by you!). I, too am far away from home (3000 miles-from one coast to the other). When we moved a bear my husband had given me when we were first dating got the axe, but Darby remains. Since I read your post on whip up, I've been thinking about sentimental toys. My husband has a puggle he won't give up, and my dad, a well-known attorney in New England, has a stuffed rabbit he once told me must be buried with him. Writing about Darby took me back to my childhood in a very intense way. Thank you so much for your inspiration.
