I crocheted a monkey last month after being inspired at Monkey Mountain. His joints aren’t exactly articulated, but he has cute buttons at the joints and can make lots of fun gestures. I’d like to make another that had real joints, or was poseable. I think it requires some specialist equipment… hehehe, another trip to the craft shop!
This is モリ Mori! He’s just crying out for a red fez.
I forgot to mention that I love this guy. His shape and proportions are charming.
i was originally going to try and make him more realistic, but it’s derned hard to shape asymmetrically in the round with crochet. i think i need to get more clever about how to shape, maybe think of it in pieces instead.

I love it!! Why would you want it to be symmetrical?? I like it the way it is. Just adorable. I think someone should sleep with him every night. He’s just the right size for your hand.
